Bharat Book Bureau’s latest report on Asian automotives
titled “Asian Automotive Industry (2007)”, says that
the automotive market in Asia is one of the fastest growing
in the world, and one of the main reasons is the saturated
industry in the western world.
The report says that
China,
India and the ASEAN countries are the major driving markets
in the Asian region, primarily due to the low cost vehicles,
which offer major opportunities for the global players in
these economies. The other reasons that drive the growth in
the market are cheap financing and discount in prices,
rising income levels and infrastructure developments.
The report says that
Thailand is
emerging as a manufacturing hub for the foreign players, due
to it being an ASEAN Free Trade Area.
