Book Bureau is proud to present its latest report titled “World
Flooring & Carpet forecasts to 2010 & 2015”.
The
report mentions that the world demand for flooring and
carpet is projected to climb 4.6 per cent per annum until
the year 2010 to around 14.6 billion square meters.
The
product demand will be further accelerated by an increase in
the non residential building construction expenditures. This
is due to the fact that economic development and
industrialization efforts continue in less developed parts
of the world.
It is
mentioned in the report that China will record the largest
gains of any country in the world, and it is expected to
surpass the US to become the largest floor covering market
in the world.
The
sales growth is also expected to be strong in India,
including other low-volume markets like Turkey, Iran,
Indonesia, Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. The flooring and carpet
demand will increase in the developed parts of the world as
well, but the rate of increase will be less robust than in
developing countries.
Also,
the demand for non-resilient flooring, which is the most
popular type of floor covering like ceramic wood, laminate
etc., will outpace the demand for resilient flooring like
vinyl, linoleum and rubber products through 2010.
The
demand for carpets and rugs, which account for the remaining
floor covering sales, will increase by a pickup in the
building construction expenditures in Western Europe. The
industry structure includes mergers and acquisitions, the
market share, industry composition, product development and
manufacturing, marketing and distribution etc.
