China’s exports topped US$4.2 billion in the first 10 months of 2005.Kleist said:
“During the period, export value jumped about 30 percent as many makers exported
higher end models. Makers have indicated they will continue to produce
value-added models in 2006. But, with the price of raw materials rising, an
equal number are focused on reducing costs.” Among surveyed manufacturers:

value-added features · 26 percent on cost reduction·
