The cooperative owns and operates five generating plants, fueled by coal and gas, three in Anadarko, one in Mooreland, and one near Hugo. WFEC also owns and maintains more than 3,700 miles of transmission line, 272 substations and 59 switch stations. The cooperative has a combined capacity of over 2,400 MW, including hydropower allocation and other contract power purchases. Its member-owners consist of 22 distribution cooperatives, 18 in Oklahoma and four in New Mexico, and a United States Air Force base.
