SummaryWind power is the most important source of renewable power in Estonia. The best onshore locations for wind power are in the northern and western regions, particularly in coastal areas. However, the power grid in these regions is lacking, in turn hampering wind power development. Estonia's current target is to achieve 25% of gross energy consumption from renewable sources by 2020. Wind capacity grew from 2 Megawatts (MW) in 2002 to 303 MW in 2014, and around 40 wind power plants planned to come online. Most of these are in the Baltic Sea region, Ida-Viru, and the Gulf of Riga. A total wind capacity of 5.8 Gigawatts (GW) is currently planned, of which 4.2 GW is in the advanced stages of development.Scope- The report includes wind power capacity, generation, regulatory framework, upcoming projects and major deals.Reasons to buy- The report gives an overview of the country's wind energy sector.- Helps in understanding the growth trajectory of wind power in the country- Gain insights into the country's wind power policies and regulations- Identify investment opportunities through upcoming wind energy projects- Identify major deals and investments made in the wind energy sector during 2014-2015
