In Q3-15, commercial beverages consumption edged forward. The leading soft drinks market posted growth as both carbonates and packaged water registered an increase in volume. Carbonates volume was boosted by both cola and flavoured carbonates. In contrast, dilutables and iced/rtd tea drinks both declined. Iced/rtd tea drinks volume was brought down by a decrease in the powdered segment. Both hot tea and hot coffee were up in Q3-15, helped by the cooler weather. Alcoholic drinks registered growth as beer increased at the same rate. Price strategies in the north of the country contributed to beer category's healthy growth.
