REASONS FOR DOING THE STUDY
BCC Research’s last technical market study on friction products and materials, was published in mid-2013. Since then, the friction material market has continued to evolve as a result of the slow and uneven recovery from the 2008 to 2009 recession in most of the developed markets and the faltering growth of customer industries in emerging markets such as China and India.

The friction materials industry is still relatively secretive and as such it is very difficult to obtain solid information on how much of these materials are being sold and where.
