Abstract
RTD tea has enjoyed strong growth in 2022 in volume and value terms both in the on- and off-trade channels. This positive performance came as a result of the success of some new product developments but mainly due to the effects of the heatwave on demand. Sales of RTD tea are strongly correlated with warmer temperatures and therefore as temperatures soared so too did category sales. The category also benefited from a rationalisation of its offering and distribution.
